Job Position: Facilities Engineer

Job Description: The Facilities Engineer oversees day-to-day engineering and planning activities related to a project. They ensure compliance with contract specifications and quality standards. The primary responsibilities include coordinating and assisting supervisors, supervisors, and tradespeople in performing periodic site maintenance work by the project management manual and specifications. The Facilities Engineer is also involved in equipment design, process safety information development, and participating in Process Hazard Analysis studies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical input and review of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support implementation and execution of Mechanical Integrity programs.
- Identify potentially hazardous conditions and design safe operations.
- Supervise and control housekeeping operations across allocated contracts.
- Ensure assigned cleaning tasks are carried out safely and by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), risk assessments, personal protective equipment (PPE), policies, and procedures.
- Interface with Operations Field staff, environmental health and safety (EHS), Operations Management, and regulatory agencies.
Requirements:
- Degree or Post Graduate in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Five years of managerial and technical experience in a similar field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in developing and using process safety information, including Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
- Familiarity with gas storage systems, facility safety, and building fire safety systems.
- Knowledge of housekeeping operating processes such as the British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICSc), Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH), PPE, method statements, and risk assessments.
