As a storekeeper in the telecom industry, you’ll oversee inventory management and ensure smooth storage facility operations. Below are the primary responsibilities for this role:
Responsibilities:
1. Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate records of stock levels, both incoming and outgoing, using inventory management software or manual methods.
- Conduct regular stock checks and address any discrepancies.
2. Receiving and Dispatching Goods:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify their contents against purchase orders or delivery notes, and ensure proper storage.
- Ensure accurate picking, packing, and shipping of goods according to orders.
3. Storage and Organization:
- Optimize storage space for efficiency and accessibility by categorizing items and labeling shelves or bins.
- Ensure goods are stored safely to prevent damage.
4. Stock Rotation and Shelf-Life Management:
- Implement stock rotation methods like first-in, first-out (FIFO) to minimize waste.
- Monitor expiration dates for perishable goods and manage stock accordingly.
