Job Description:
Adicc, a leading Civil Contracting company in the UAE, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil QA/QC Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and quality control processes within the civil construction industry in the UAE.
Responsibilities:
- Quality Assurance (QA):
- Develop and implement quality assurance plans and procedures for civil construction projects.
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, international standards, and company quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify quality issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with project teams to establish quality checkpoints throughout the construction process.
- Review and approve quality-related documentation, including inspection reports and test results.
- Quality Control (QC):
- Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
- Perform material testing and inspections to ensure they meet required standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformities.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Conduct final inspections and prepare punch lists to ensure project completion meets quality expectations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive QA/QC reports for project stakeholders.
- Maintain a database of quality records and documentation.
- Essay on quality performance and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Training and Compliance:
- Provide training and guidance to project personnel on quality processes and procedures.
- Ensure that all employees and subcontractors understand and adhere to quality standards.
- Communication and Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with external quality assurance bodies when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within the UAE civil contracting industry.
- Familiarity with UAE construction regulations and codes.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Relevant certifications in quality assurance and quality control are a plus.
