Position Overview – Remittance Clerk
Essential Customer Service Role This position involves accurately performing all remittance transactions and other financial services for customers while maintaining exceptional service standards and strict compliance with regulatory requirements.
Multi-Location Opportunity Work across various Al Ansari Exchange locations throughout the UAE, gaining experience in different branch environments and customer demographics.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service Excellence
- Provide fast and excellent customer service in a professional manner
- Follow the SGOT Rule (Smile – Greet – Offer – Thank) for consistent service delivery
- Handle customer inquiries and provide exchange rate information
- Resolve customer complaints independently wherever possible
- Answer telephone calls and provide transfer rates and information as required
Transaction Processing and Compliance
- Accurately perform all remittance transactions and financial services
- Adhere to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) rules, policies, and procedures at all times
- Collect and file all transaction supporting documents according to company filing systems
- Arrange for document transfer to warehouse facilities
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
Business Development Support
- Identify and cultivate potential customer relationships and business opportunities
- Promote and cross-sell new products and services to existing customers
- Provide market feedback and customer insights to management
- Support branch revenue goals through proactive customer engagement
Administrative and Operational Tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of counter, drawers, tables, and workplace according to guidelines
- Read, understand, and comply with announcements from Head Office or Admin Office
- Forward technical support requests to appropriate departments
- Provide necessary information to various company departments
- Perform additional assignments as delegated by supervisors
Essential Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong academic foundation demonstrating analytical and communication abilities
Professional Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cash handling operations
- Customer service experience in financial services or related industry
- Understanding of transaction processing and documentation requirements
Communication and Language Skills
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to communicate clearly with diverse customer base
- Professional telephone manner and customer interaction skills
