Duties and Responsibilities:

Proactively monitoring a company’s Network and IT infrastructure. They must continuously maintain, automate, and fine-tune monitoring and reporting platforms. The engineer is also responsible for promptly responding to all alerts, incidents, and outages and performing necessary isolation and L1 troubleshooting. Additionally, they must categorize issues and escalate them to the appropriate team where necessary. Lastly, the engineer must generate and analyze performance reports for various systems. These reports will highlight trends and anomalies to assist higher-tier engineers to perform preventive measures.

Technical Skills:

The candidate for this technical role should have experience and a thorough understanding of several key network monitoring and logging protocols, including but not limited to SNMP, NetFlow, Syslog, and WMI. Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of Enterprise Network infrastructure and services. The ideal candidate should have experience in troubleshooting WAN technologies, including SD-WAN, MPLS, and IPSEC Tunnels. They should also possess a solid understanding of Network and server operating systems, including ArubaOS-CX, Cisco IOS, NX-OS, Windows server, and Linux. Lastly, the candidate should have a thorough understanding and experience in wireless platforms, preferably in Aruba. These technical skills are crucial for a candidate in this field to excel in their role.
