Key Responsibilities:
As an HSE Officer, your role will include:
- Safety Implementation: Ensuring procedures and rules are followed according to the latest HSE standards.
- Site Representation: Representing Shafar positively at contractor worksites when needed.
- Relationship Building: Developing effective relationships with contractor representatives and the operations team.
- Reporting: Providing reports to the Site Safety Adviser as required.
- Reviewing Procedures: Reviewing and commenting on contractor-produced HSE procedures and Permits to Work.
- Risk Assessment: Participating in, reviewing, and commenting on contractor risk assessments.
- Project Control: Implementing project control procedures related to HSE.
- Liaison with Contractors: Coordinating with contractors on risk assessments, HAZIDs, HAZOPs, and overall health and safety.
- Safety Meetings: Attending all safety meetings on site.
- Promoting Safety Culture: Encouraging all personnel to take responsibility for safety and environmental standards, aiming for zero incidents.
- Progress Updates: Providing regular updates to the Decommissioning Site Representative and highlighting potential risks.
Required Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in the construction industry within the UAE.
- Certifications: NEBOSH/IGC or IOSH certification is a must.
- Language Skills: Excellent command of the English language.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer applications.
- Availability: You must be locally available in the UAE and ready to join immediately. Applicants of any nationality are welcome.
