Position: System Engineer

Job Description:

Primary Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows Servers and related infrastructure.
• Manage and support Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Set up and manage user accounts and permissions.
• Administer and support Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Monitor and maintain email security, user permissions, and data integrity.
• Support VMware ESX Server and deploy key VMware ESX/ESXi technologies, with expertise in HA/DRS and P2V.
• Extensive experience in VMware ESXi and VMServer Server Farms.
• Perform system administration tasks of high complexity on Windows/VMWare environments.
• Diagnose problems on ESXi hosts and create/maintain Windows server images.
• Monitor system performance and ensure the reliability and availability of Microsoft environments.
• Implement and manage system monitoring tools.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows-based systems and applications.
• Respond to and resolve system outages and user issues promptly.
• Perform regular updates and patches for Windows Servers and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and migrations.
• Implement and manage security measures, including antivirus, firewalls, and access controls.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans.
• Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans.
• Ensure regular backups are performed and verify data integrity.
• Ensure systems comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Stay updated with best practices and emerging technologies in the Microsoft ecosystem.

Technology Knowledge:

• Microsoft Environment, including Office 365
• Backup – Veritas
• VMware Virtualized environment
• Knowledge in IBM AIX is an added advantage
